brown sugar baked oats
This recipe is from Gooseberry Hometown Favorites cookbook submitted by Linda Varner of Three Springs PA It is delicious and can be eaten as a breakfast bar, cereal (plain or with milk), or as a snack. I'm sharing the original recipe, however I add a handful of raisins to it.

Ingredients
- 3 cups quick cooking oats, uncooked
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make brown sugar baked oats

Step 1Combine dry ingredients, including walnuts and raisins.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients to dry mixture. Spread in 9" square pan.

Step 3Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cut into squares.
