baked oatmeal with almonds

I love oatmeal and love it baked... and so does my family...make it your own and add your favorite nuts, fruit, honey raisins...etc...I used almonds and fresh blueberries...I serve it with a splash of milk...enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 - egg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup melted, butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups quick cooking oats
  • fruit - nuts, honey, etc or make it plain

How To Make baked oatmeal with almonds

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Lightly spray an 8 inch baking dish with non stick cooking spray. Beat egg in a medium bowl, add remaining ingredients, except for oats. Stir well.
  • Step 2
    Add oats and blend into liquid well.
  • Step 3
    Pour into prepared pan, place in oven and bake 25 - 30 minutes. Serve with your favorite fruit, nuts, milk, etc... I added fresh blueberries and milk when serving.
