How to Make ~ Swiss Cheese & Bacon Pie ~ Cassies

Step-by-Step

  1. preheat oven to 400 degree F.

When cooking bacon, add the shallots to the grease as well and cook just until translucent. Remove and drain.
  2. Place crumbled bacon, shallots and cheese in the bottom of pie crust, evenly.

** took pic before adding the cheese...LOL
  3. Scald milk and cream. Whisk scalded milk into the eggs.

Add spices and Worcestershire sauce, whisk in well.

Pour egg mixture over the cheese & bacon in the crust.
  4. Place pie on baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes.

Reduce heat to 300 and continue baking for another 30 minutes or until a knife inserted near center of pie comes out clean.
  5. I then sprinkle with some real bacon bits and parsley.

Let rest for 10 minutes before cutting.

    Enjoy!
