Ingredients

  • - biscuits
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • GRAVY
  • 1/4 pound ground sausage
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups whole milk

How To Make biscuits and gravy

  • Step 1
    Biscuits: mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 2
    Cut cold butter into flour mixture until its looks like crumbs. Then add your buttermilk but do not over mix.
  • Step 3
    Dump out mixture onto a floured surface and fold a few times. Press down the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut out.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 450 for about 13 minutes until golden.
  • Step 5
    SAUSAGE GRAVY: Cook sausage and then add cream cheese, cook until hot. Add your flour and cook for about a minute.
  • Step 6
    Add the heavy cream to the sausage mixture and cook for about a minute. Then add your milk and cook until it thickens for about 5 minutes. salt and pepper to taste.
