- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 medium granny smith apples, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 - loaf challah bread (about 1 lb.) cut into cubes
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- - confectioners' sugar
How To Make slow cooker apple french toast

Step 1In a medium-sized skillet, melt the butter. Cook the apples, pecans, walnuts, brown sugar, and syrup in the butter for 10 minutes, stirring often. Place the apple mixture into a slow cooker.

Step 2Place the bread in a large bowl; set aside.

Step 3In a medium-sized bowl, combine the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and stir to coat. Add the bread mixture to the slow cooker and stir.

Step 4Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Drizzle additional maple syrup on top, if desired.
