One of my Grams favorite ways of serving poached eggs. I love this easy, delicious recipe and serve on special occasions, such as Christmas. I hope you try it sometime, it sure beats just plain old poached eggs.

Stove Top


  • 1/2 lb
    mushrooms, large chopped
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    each - black pepper & paprika
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 c
  • 6
    poached eggs
  • 6 slice
    hot, toast

How to Make ~ Creamy Mushrooms Over Poached Eggs & Toast ~


  1. Saute mushrooms in 2 tablespoons of butter, until tender.
  2. Sprinkle with flour and seasonings, stirring constantly for 1 minute.

    Add milk & Worcestershire sauce and cook, stirring constantly. Boil for a couple minutes or until thickened.
  3. Poach eggs.
  4. Place egg on slice of hot toast.
  5. Cover over with sauce.

    Enjoy, it's delicious!
