sausage egg & cheese caserole

Yummy and easy. You can substitute the sausage for any breakfast meat you would like and it is still delicious.

yield 9 small servings but if you have hungry guys like I do it is more like 5 or 6

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, browned and drained
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 2 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup bisquick
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (i use skim but i don't think it matters)

How To Make sausage egg & cheese caserole

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together, except hold back 1/2 cup cheese.
  • Step 2
    Pour into greased 8 x 8 baking pan.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 35 minutes or until edges start to brown and middle is not runny.
  • Step 4
    Sprinklle remaining cheese on top and put back in oven until cheese melts.
  • Step 5
    Remove from oven and allow to sit for about 5 minutes so it can set. Cut and serve.
