sausage - egg bake
This is a never fail make ahead breakfast for a larger crowd of just hungry people! :) Very creamy,cheesy and satisfying! Easy to prepare the night before and simply bake in the morning. I have made this many times when overnight guests are expected. Always a hit and super easy to boot! Original recipe came from a 1993 TV Guide. It was shared by Marilynne Hargrove who's husband is Mike. He was a manager and player in baseball and this is one of his favorites.

Ingredients
- 1 pound italian sausage,diced
- 9 - eggs
- 3 cups milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- - dash of black pepper
- 12 - slices of bread, crusts removed, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make sausage - egg bake

Step 1Brown sausage in skillet until done. Drain off fat.

Step 2In a large bowl, beat eggs and milk. Add mustard,salt,pepper and bread cubes. Mix well. Fold in cooked sausage and cheese.

Step 3Pour into greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Let stand covered, in refrigerator overnight.

Step 4Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before baking. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
