Ingredients
- 1 pound sausage links
- 8 slices white bread, cut into cubes
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup half and half
How To Make sausage custard

Step 1The night before, cook and drain the sausage links. Cut into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2Spray 2 quart oven proof casserole dish with cooking spray.

Step 3Arrange sausage and bread cubes in bottom of pan.

Step 4Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.

Step 5Combine the eggs, milk and half and half and pour it over the bread and sausage.

Step 6Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight.

Step 7In the morning, remove the dish and let come to room temperature, about 30 minutes.

Step 8Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 9Bake the dish, uncovered, until it has puffed and browned. About 1 hour.
