Ingredients
- 1 pound Hot pan sausage (can use regular)
- 1 large Onion (chopped)
- 1 pound Fresh Mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 box Uncle Ben's Wild Rice
- 1 1/4 cups Chicken Broth
- 1 can Water Chestnuts (sliced)
- 1/2 cup Half and Half Cream
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 15 ea. - Ritz Crackers (crushed)
- 4 tablespoons Butter

Step 1-COOK RICE AS DIRECTED AND SET ASIDE. -BROWN SAUSAGE (DRAIN OFF EXCESS FAT)AND SET ASIDE. -SAUTE ONION AND MUSHROOMS IN REMAINING FAT. -ADD FLOUR TO THE CREAM AND MIX WELL. -ADD CHICKEN BROTH AND COOK UNTIL THICKENED. -ADD WATER CHESTNUTS AND ABOVE MIXTURE TO THE SAUSAGE MIXTURE .

Step 2COMBINE WITH RICE, PLACE IN CASSEROLE DISH; TOP WITH CRUSHED CRACKERS WHICH HAVE BEEN SAUTED IN THE BUTTER. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 40 MINUTES
