Ingredients

1/4 c
green onions, sliced
2 Tbsp
butter
2 c
mashed potatoes
1 c
american cheese, shredded
3
egg yolks
1/3 c
milk
1/2 tsp
salt
3
egg whites, stiffly beaten
8 oz
brown and serve sausage links

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven 375.
2Saute onion in butter till tender, but not browned.
3Stir in cooked onion and cheese into mashed potatoes.
4Beat egg yolks, milk and salt together; blend into potato mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites.
5Turn into a 2-quart casserole. Arrange sausage links on top. Bake uncovered till set; about 45 minutes.
