Ingredients
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup american cheese, shredded
- 3 - egg yolks
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 - egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 8 ounces brown and serve sausage links
How To Make puffed potatoes and sausage

Step 1Preheat oven 375.

Step 2Saute onion in butter till tender, but not browned.

Step 3Stir in cooked onion and cheese into mashed potatoes.

Step 4Beat egg yolks, milk and salt together; blend into potato mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites.

Step 5Turn into a 2-quart casserole. Arrange sausage links on top. Bake uncovered till set; about 45 minutes.
