Found this and tried it and it's become a favorite. Alternative to the eggs and bacon or sausage savory casserole. Grandkids love it and it feeds them all!! It's sausage on a stick with syrup!!

Ingredients For pigs-in-a-blanket-bake

  • 2 box
    frozen pancakes
  • 1 pkg
    cocktail sausages
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups
    half and half
  • 1 cup
    sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups
    maple syrup or pancake syrup

How To Make pigs-in-a-blanket-bake

    Heat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9x13 dish. Remove the pancakes from the boxes and separate so they will begin to partially thaw.

    In a large bowl beat the eggs and the half and half with a whisk. Set aside. Coarsely chop the pancakes and the sausage links. Add to the egg mix and lighly toss.I use my hands. Let stand 5 minutes. Pour into the baking dish and sprinkle with the cheese.

    Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or till edges are set and lighlty browned. Let stand 10 minutes if cutting into squares to serve. We just spoon our out! Serve with syrup. ** do not stir as the chopped pancakes will fall apart.
