pannukakku ("finnish pancake")
(1 RATING)
This is another old recipe of my mom's. It is baked in the oven and is served for breakfast or brunch. Good anytime, actually! Enjoy.

Ingredients
- 4 - eggs
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick margarine or butter
How To Make pannukakku ("finnish pancake")
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat eggs & add 1/2 cup of the milk. Gradually add the milk, flour and salt. Beat until thick & smooth.
-
Step 2Melt the margarine in a glass bowl and pour into your 9 X 13 pan. Pour the batter over the melted margarine.
-
Step 3Bake at 375 for one hour. Sprinkle sugar & cinnamon on top when it comes out of the oven. It will be very "puffy" when you take it out of the oven and it will "cave in" after awhile....but it is supposed to do that. Serve with jam, syrup, honey, berries ... you can use your imagination what to put on top. Yum.
