I combined recipes from two friends to come up with this rich version. It is a special treat for Christmas morning or breakfast for overnight guests.

light corn syrup
country french bread loaf
8-oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp

half and half
1 tsp
1/4 tsp

How to Make Overnight Stuffed French Toast Casserole


  • 1Grease bottom of 9x13 pan.
  • 2Cook butter, 2 cups brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat until mixture is well blended and bubbly. Pour half of sauce into bottom of pan.
  • 3Cut bread into 1" slices and arrange in pan over sauce.
  • 4Mix cream cheese, 1/3 cup brown sugar, and cinnamon until well blended. Dollop between and on top of bread slices.
  • 5Mix together eggs, half and half, vanilla, and salt. Pour over bread.
  • 6Pour remaining sauce over all.
  • 7Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 8Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, uncovered, on baking sheet (for any possible boil over). Enjoy!
