Ingredients

  • 1 1/2
    loaves french bread, cut into cubes
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 c
    blueberries
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 5
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    maple syrup
  • BLUEBERRY SYRUP

  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    blueberries

How to Make Overnight Blueberry French Toast Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Spray 2 quart casserole dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Spread half of the bread cubes in bottom of dish.
  3. Mix together cream cheese, 1 tablespoon milk and powdered sugar until well combined. Pour over bread.
  4. Sprinkle with blueberries.
  5. Add remaining bread cubes.
  6. Combine 1 cup milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and syrup. Pour over bread cubes.
  7. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake covered 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 30 minutes longer.
  10. During last 10 minutes of baking prepare the Blueberry Syrup. In saucepan combine water, corn starch and sugar. Heat to a simmer. Add blueberries and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.
  11. Serve casserole with warm syrup.
  12. Enjoy!
