refrigerated pie crust for a 10-inch pie**
1/2 c
grated cheese, any variety***

How to Make Onion Pie


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • 2Cut bacon slices into small pieces and fry until almost crispy; add onions and cook over medium heat until onions are wilted but not browned, about 10 minutes.
  • 3In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  • 4Mix bacon/onion mixture and milk/egg mixture; pour into unbaked pie shell; top with grated cheese and bake for 30 minutes or until filling is set (you can gently shake the pan back and forth and see if the center is firm).
  • 5Let cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before cutting into wedges to serve.
