- 6 ounces fresh mushrooms
- 10 slices bread
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 4 - eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Step 1Chop mushrooms, broil in butter and reserve broth. Cut bread into quarters diagonally. Place half the bread in 12x8 casserole. Sprinkle with mushrooms and half cheese, remaining bread in opposite directions to first row and remaining cheese. Blend all remaining ingredients, pour over the top. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 degrees 55 min and stand 5 min before cutting.
