There is nothing better to me than a good breakfast casserole. It's so nice to wake in the morning, and pop this in the oven..can't get any easier than that....Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 pound roll sausage, i use bob evans spicy sausage
- 8 - eggs
- 10 slices bread, cut into cubes (about 10 cups) i use french bread
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 cup onions, chopped
- 1 - 10 ounces package frozen cut asparagus, thawed and drained
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make morning strata

Step 1Crumble sausage and onion in large skillet. Cook over medium heat until browned, stirring occasionally. Drain off any drippings. Whisk eggs in large bowl. Add sausage and remaining ingredients; mix well.

Step 2Spoon into greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Cover; refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Step 3Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into squares; serve hot.
