morning casserole
The thing I like the most about this recipe is that it is made the night before. My family and friends love this recipe. Our family always use this recipe when we all get together at one of our houses. Always a great way to start breakfast on Christmas Morning too. One of my girl friends gave me this recipe years ago.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups pepperidge farm herb croutons
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 pounds your favorite bulk sausage
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 4 - eggs and a dash of pepper
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
How To Make morning casserole

Step 1Place croutons in bottom of 9 x 12 inch greased pan.

Step 2Top with shredded cheese (saving 1/2 cup for topping)

Step 3Brown sausage, drain, and crumble.

Step 4Place sausage on top of cheese and croutons

Step 5Beat together eggs, milk, mustard, and pepper.

Step 6Pour over casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 7Before baking in the morning, dilute mushroom soup with 1/2 cup milk.

Step 8Pour over casserole and top with the remaining 1/2 cup cheese.

Step 9Bake uncovered at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours until set. Insert knife in center of casserale and if it comes out clean; the casserole is set amd ready to eat
