Not sure where this recipe came from, but my sister-in-law in Cincinnati always makes it for us when we stay over.

tennessee pride ground sausage
eggs beaten with whisk
1 c
8 oz
small curd cottage cheese
6 Tbsp
melted butter
3 oz
cream cheese
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 c
1/ tsp
8-10 oz
monterray jack cheese
4 oz
cheddar cheese
1 can(s)
chi chi's brand green chiles (can substitute jalopeno peppers for a hotter casserole)

How to Make Lousiana Egg Bake


  • 1Brown the sausage, drain and let cool. Add the chiles.
  • 2Mix the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl, add the meat mixture. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan.
  • 3Best if refrigerated overnight. Then bake for 40 minutes in a 350-degree oven.
