If you are making this for someone who can't eat a lot of salt... or just dont like spicy food(s). Dont add the salt, pepper and tabasco to the recipe. Each individual can add those as they sit down to eat...

Ingredients
- 1 cup quick cooking grits
- 3 cups water, boiling
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 2 cups sharpe cheddar cheese, grated
- - salt and pepper ( to taste)
- - tabasco sauce ( to taste)
How To Make "kiss my grits" casserole

Step 1Combine water, milk, salt and pepper ( to your liking) Bring to a boil

Step 2Add grits. Stir, cover and cook for 5 minutes on low.

Step 3Saute' onion and sausage in a nonstick skillet until onion is transparent and sausage is not pink. Drain fat.

Step 4In a bowl, combine grits, sausage, and onion mixture.

Step 5also add beaten egg, 1 cup of cheese and tabasco sauce ( to your taste) Stir.

Step 6Spray 2-quart casserole dish with Pam cooking spray Bake at 350* for 30 minutes

Step 7The last 10 minutes of cook time, top with the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese
