ham & cheese quiche

This recipe came from my daughter-in-laws mother and it is very good. I like serving this for brunch whenever we have overnight guests.

Ingredients

  • 9" - pie shell, thawed
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheese
  • 1 cup chopped or cubed ham, your choice of ham
  • 1/4 cup finelly chopped onion
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

How To Make ham & cheese quiche

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375. Rub bottom of pie shell with either a little egg white or a little milk to prevent it from being soggy.
  • Step 2
    Toss cheese, ham & onion together & spoon into pie shell.
  • Step 3
    Whisk together the remaining ingredients until well blended & pour over ham/cheese mixture.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 375 for approximately 45 min to 1 hr (depending on your oven) or until golden brown & knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step 5
    Note: You can also use cooked & crumbled sausage &/or bacon. You can also throw in a little bell pepper, spinach, mushrooms, etc. if you want.
