Every year my Mom would make this breakfast casserole on Christmas morning. It is a tradition that I continued with my kids, and actually is a family favorite to have anytime including for supper! Its great because it can be made the night before so all you have to do is pop it in the oven!

How to Make Grandma's Breakfast Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Butter 9x13 glass pan, and spread bread cubes in the pan (original recipe says to cut the crusts off but my family likes the crust so I don't).
  2. Whisk together the eggs and 1 cup milk, pour over bread crusts. And sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  3. Brown sausage, and sprinkle on top of cheese.
  4. Mix together the soup and 1/2 can of milk, spread on top of the sausage.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, or until eggs are set.
