Ingredients

  • 6
    eggs
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or margarine, melted
  • BUTTERMILK SYRUP

  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn syrup, light
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • ·
    confectioners' sugar

How to Make German Pancake

Step-by-Step

  1. Place the eggs, milk, flour and salt in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Pour the butter into a greased 13x9x2 baking dish; add the batter. Bake, uncovered, at 400 for 20 min.
  2. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the first 5 syrup ingredients; bring to a boil. Boil for 7 mins. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  3. Dust pancake with confectioner's sugar and serve immediately with the syrup.
