Ingredients

  • 1
    loaf sourdough bread
  • 8 large
    eggs
  • 2 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • STREUSAL

  • 1 c
    each flour and brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 stick
    cold butter cut in slices

How to Make French Toast with Streusal Bake

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut the bread into cubes. Place in bottom of 9 x 13 sprayed pan. Mix the eggs with milk, sugar and vanilla. Pour over the bread cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. For the topping Mix the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Cut in the cold butter and mix until crumbly. Store in fridge until morning.
  3. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Sprinkle topping over the bread mixture and bake 1 hour. Serve with syrup.
