Ingredients

  • 1 - loaf sourdough bread
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • STREUSAL
  • 1 cup each flour and brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks cold butter cut in slices

How To Make french toast with streusal bake

  • Step 1
    Cut the bread into cubes. Place in bottom of 9 x 13 sprayed pan. Mix the eggs with milk, sugar and vanilla. Pour over the bread cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 2
    For the topping Mix the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Cut in the cold butter and mix until crumbly. Store in fridge until morning.
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven 350 degrees. Sprinkle topping over the bread mixture and bake 1 hour. Serve with syrup.
