french toast brunch casserole
Had company for brunch and wanted too make French toast without the bother of individual pieces. This is a combination of recipe from lots of different places with my own little twists.

Ingredients
- 5 cups day-old french bread, torn into pieces
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk any %
- !/4 teaspoon salt, or less
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons pecans, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
How To Make french toast brunch casserole

Step 1If using fresh bread, tear into pieces the night before and leave out so that it dries out a bit.

Step 2About 2 hrs before you want to eat, spray 8x8 inch pan with baking spray. In large measuring cup, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla and salt together.

Step 3Put bread pieces in a large bowl, pour in the milk mixture and stir together. Place into your sprayed pan and let sit for about 1/2 hour. Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Step 4Make topping of brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Sprinkle on bread and dot with butter. Bake for 1 hour or until middle is almost set. If not, bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until more set.

Step 5Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
