Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 16 ounces challah bread, cubed
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 16 ounces strawberries, sliced

How To Make french toast breakfast casserole

  • Step 1
    Whisk together cream cheese, milk, brown sugar, granulated sugar, jam, eggs, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Add cubed bread; toss.
  • Step 2
    Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
  • Step 3
    Chill at least 8 hours or up to 2 days.
  • Step 4
    Remove casserole from refrigerator, and let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 5
    Bake, covered, 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer or until center is set and bread is golden brown.
