Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup orange juice, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 large french bread, day old
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 32 ounces strawberries, frozen
  • - homemade whipped topping
  • 4 large eggs

How To Make kim's french toast bake

  • Step 1
Spray 13x9 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray and sprinkle half of the brown sugar on bottom of pan.
  • Step 2
Cube french bread and lay in pan.
  • Step 3
Blend eggs, half & half, 1/2 cup orange juice, salt, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over bread
  • Step 4
Sprinkle remaining brown sugar over the top; cover and refrigerate overnight. Don't worry, the bread will soak up all that egg mixture!
  • Step 5
The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees, uncover and bake for 30-40 minutes. Top will be firm to touch when done.
  • Step 6
Put strawberries and remaining orange juice in saucepan, bring to boil and simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Step 7
Slice it up, put strawberries and whipped topping on top and enjoy!
