You can make this just about anyway you like. I sometimes use smokie links cook them and chop them up and put in. I've used diced ham and I've also used bacon. Whichever sounds good to you. I would put peppers in it but my kids are picky so I don't. THere is just a lot of different combinations you can do with this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen shredded hashbrowns
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 - eggs
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 package cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 pound bulk sausage
  • - you can also use diced ham,smokie links or bacon to this if you don't want bulk sausage. whatever you prefer will work as i have made all of them

How To Make egg casserole

  • Step 1
    fry sausage and drain fat.
  • Step 2
    using spray oil grease a 9x13 inch pan. Put frozen hashbrowns in.
  • Step 3
    Mix eggs, put cooked sausage and onion with eggs and stir. Pour over frozen hashbrowns.
  • Step 4
    Bake covered in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until eggs and hashbrowns are cooked . Add cheddar cheese over the top in the last 10 minutes of cooking. Serve
