My mom makes this when we all get together for breakfast around the holidays. It's something I always look forward to!

Ingredients

  • 1 - loaf of english muffin bread
  • 8 slices cooked ham
  • 1/2 pound swiss cheese
  • 1/2 pound cheddar cheese
  • 8 - eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed corn flakes
  • 1/4 cup (4 tbsp) melted butter

How To Make egg bake casserole

  • Step 1
    Grease a 9x13 pan.
  • Step 2
    Cut crust off of bread and cover the bottom of the pan with bread. Butter the top side of bread.
  • Step 3
    Layer with the two cheeses and ham.
  • Step 4
    Add another layer of bread; butter top side of bread.
  • Step 5
    Whisk together remaining ingredients, except topping. Pour over bread layers in pan and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 6
    When ready to bake, mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Let set a few minutes before cutting.
