easy omelets

My grandchildren love to help cook & decided they wanted to fix omelets one morning. We set up a little station of fillings & each were given their choices to fill & make their own omelets. It was a success & is now a tradition when visiting Nana.

Ingredients
- 8 cups boiling water
- 2-3 - quart size freezer bags
- 6-8 large eggs beaten (2 per each omelet)
- pinch salt and pepper (other seasonings of choice)
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup onions (your choice) chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 cup bell peppers (chopped) any & all colors
- 1 cup ham or bacon (chopped) or both
- 1 cup fresh chopped spinach
- 2 cups cheese (of your choice)
- 1 cup of any chopped fruit if desired
How To Make easy omelets

Step 1Put water on to boil

Step 2Place open freezer bags in glasses with sides of bag over glass.

Step 3Beat 2 eggs per omelet in bowl & season with salt & pepper as desired. Then pour into freezer bags

Step 4Add tablespoon or amount of ingredient desired to the egg mixture. (ex: onions, tomatoes, bacon, cheese, etc)

Step 5Seal freezer bag & place in boiling water for 8 minutes. Remove with tongs. Hold with dish towel, open freezer bag & remove to plate. Is ready to eat. Can be topped with extra ingredients, sour cream or hot sauce.
