This is great for breakfast or to serve for brunch. This is Carol's recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 6 medium eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 6 slices white bread, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 cup (4 ozs) shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make diego's sausage casserole

  • Step 1
    In a skillet, brown and crumble sausage, drain and set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, beat eggs, add milk, salt and mustard.
  • Step 3
    Stir in bread cubes, cheese and sausage.
  • Step 4
    Pour into a greased 11x7-inch baking dish.
  • Step 5
    Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Step 6
    Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
  • Step 7
    Bake uncovered at 350 for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
