crescent ham & egg squares
Great brunch dish. I served with fresh fruit and breakfast potatoes. You may use a different cheese if you prefer. (swiss cheese is a nice option)

Ingredients
- 2 cans crescent dough
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided 1 + 2)
- 12 large eggs
- 1/4 cup chives (chopped)
- 1/2 pound deli ham (pat dry)
- 16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese (4 cups)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic
- tablespoon salt & pepper to taste
How To Make crescent ham & egg squares

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease a 9x12 casserole pan.

Step 2Whisk eggs in mixing bowl. Melt 1 T. of butter in large nonstick pan. Add eggs to pan and cook on low heat, stirring often and cook until eggs are just set. Season with salt and pepper. Remove pan from heat.

Step 3Unroll one can of crescent rolls into greased dish to line bottom of pan. Pinch dough seams together. Add a layer of ham. Top with scrambled eggs, chives and cheese. Unroll second crescent dough and place on top. Pinch dough seams together.

Step 4Melt remaining 2 T. butter in microwave cup. Brush melted butter on top of dough. Sprinkle top with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, minced onion and dried garlic.

Step 5Cover top with nonstick foil and cook for 15 minutes. Remove foil and cook additional 15 minutes.

Step 6Remove pan from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
