My mother in law shared this recipe with me when I was engaged to her son...now 20 years ago!! This is a family loved recipe that must be present Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's rich and just plain sinful. It's pure cheesiness goodness and you can't have just one.

  • 1 lb
    monterrey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 5 oz
    can evaporated milk
  • 6
    eggs
  • sliced jalapenos or chopped green chilis, optional

How To Make cheese squares

  • 1
Preheat your oven to 350* Lightly grease a 9x13 pan (I use glass). Line the bottom of the pan with either jalapeno slices or chopped canned chilis(as many as you wish).
  • 2
Shred all the cheese into a bowl. Add Evaporated milk to the cheese. Lightly beat the eggs then add them to the cheese and milk mixture. Mix all together until completely mixed well.
  • 3
Spoon the cheese mixture into the pan. Try to even it out as much as possible. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes. It will be golden bubbly on top. Let cool about 10-15 min. then cut into cubes. Enjoy!
