  • 4 1/4 c
  • 1 c
    yellow grits
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 16 oz
    cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 stick
  • 4 large
  • 1/2 c
  • 4 slice
    bacon, cooked & crumbled

How to Make Cheese Grits Casserole


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Put the water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in the grits and cook until thick, about 5 minutes. Stir frequently.
  4. Add garlic powder, salt, cheese and butter. Mix well.
  5. Put eggs and milk in a small bowl and beat together.
    Add slowly to the grits.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle bacon on top.
