We usually have 12 to 14 family and friends on a weekend at the cottage and to save time this casserole is great because you can make the casserole and refrigerate it overnight and bake it in the morning we usually double the recipe to feed the gang.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds bulk pork sausage
  • 9 - eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 9 slices bread cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 pound sliced bacon fried crisp and crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard

How To Make cheese and sausage casserole

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet cook sausage over medium heat until sausage no longer pink. drain.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients transfer to a 3-quart greased casserole pan,,cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking then bake at 350F oven covered for 60 to 65 minutes or knife inserted in center comes... out clean
