  • 8 slice
    new york brand® texas garlic toast, or any texas garlic toast
  • 3 c
    half and half
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 1/4 c
    diced ham
  • 1 Tbsp
    hot sauce, i use tobasco
  • 1/4 c
    chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 1/2 tsp
    chopped thyme leaves, i used dried thyme
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 8
    large eggs

How to Make Brunch Strata


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Arrange Garlic Toast slices on a sheet pan and bake 7 to 10 minutes or until bread begins to brown. Cool and cut into 2 “ pieces.
  2. Butter an 8 x 11 baking dish.

    Place bread pieces in prepared baking dish.
    Combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over bread pieces.
    Cover and refrigerate 2 to 24 hours.
  3. Remove strata from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cover strata with aluminum foil and bake 25 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake 20 minutes or until center of strata is firm to touch. Top of strata should be golden brown. Allow strata to rest for 5 minutes. Serve.
