Ingredients
- 2 pounds sausage
- 12 slices bread, crusts trimmed away
- - butter, softened
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
- 8 - eggs
- 1 quart half and half
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
How To Make breakfast sausage casserole

Step 1Brown sausage - Drain.

Step 2Butter a 9 x 13 flat pan.

Step 3Butter 6 slices of bread and place in pan buttered side down.

Step 4Sprinkle with sausage, then cheese.

Step 5Butter 6 more slices of bread and place buttered side up over the sausage and cheese mixture.

Step 6Mix together eggs, milk and salt and mustard.

Step 7Pour over bread, sausage, cheese and let set in the refrigerator overnight.

Step 8Bake at 350 for an hour.

Step 9Let set 20 to 30 minutes after you take it out of the oven so the egg mixture will set.
