Ingredients

  • 8 slice
    bacon, cooked until crisp--reserve 1 tbl. drippings
  • 1/2 c
    corn flake crumbs
  • 5
    eggs
  • 2-1/2 c
    frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1-1/2 c
    (4 oz) shredded swiss cheese
  • 1/2 c
    cottage cheese
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1
    green onion--- thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 4
    drops--liquid pepper sauce

How to Make BREAKFAST PIE

Step-by-Step

  1. Crumble bacon. Set aside. Mix corn flake crumbs with the 1 Tbl drippings. Set aside.
  2. In medium-sized bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 9-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with crumbs mixture and bacon. Cover. Refrigerate overnight.
  3. Morning---remove pan from refrigerator. Uncover and bake in oven at 325* about 50 min or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

    Great when served with the Save-A-day Coffeecake
