white bread,crust removed
2 c
sharp cheddar cheese,shredded
2 c
monterey jack cheese, shredded
8 oz
can green chilies, minced

eggs
2 c
milk
2 tsp
paprika
1 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
ground oregano
1/2 tsp
pepper
1/2 tsp
minced garlic
1/4 tsp
dry mustard

How to Make Breakfast of Champions-Chilies Rellenos-

Step-by-Step

  • 1Remove crusts from bread,if desired and butter on one side. Place buttered side down in a 7x11-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese, then with Monterey Jack. Spread chilies evenly over cheese. Beat eggs, add milk and all seasonings, Pour evenly over cheese. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Bake in 325^ oven for 50 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
