country mild pork sausage
eggs, lightly beaten
3 c
2 tsp
dry mustard
1 tsp
6 c
cubed bread (i use french bread)
2 c
shredded cheese of choice
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/2 c
thin-sliced green onions
2 Tbsp
bell pepper of choice, finely chopped
garlic & onion powder to taste
dash of chili powder

How to Make Breakfast/Lunch/Supper Casserole


  • 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees and butter 13x9 baking pan or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 2Cook sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink, drain.
  • 3In large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, mustard, salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic and onion powder; stir well.
  • 4Layer in pan in the following order: half the bread, half the cheese, half the sausage and half the onions and bell pepper. Repeat layer using the remaining bread, cheese, sausage, onion and bell pepper.
  • 5Pour egg mixture evenly over casserole and bake uncovered for 60 minutes or until eggs are set. If top begings to brown too quickly, tent with foil.
  • 6Individual servings can be topped with salsa, white gravy or extra cheese.
