This is a recipe that we all tried at a food class I attended when I had my home day care. My family and the kids all loved it. You can make the french toast the way you usually make it. I myself just use eggs and sprinkle with a cinnamon sugar mixture. (no milk)

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar
  • 12 slice
    french toast
  • 8 oz
    boiled ham, sliced
  • 2 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 20 oz
    apple pie filling
  • 1 c
    granola

How to Make Breakfast Lasagne

Step-by-Step

  1. In a small bowl, blend sour cream and brown sugar. Chill.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F. Meanwhile, make french toast and place 6 slices in bottom of greased 9x13" baking pan.
  3. Layer ham and 2 cups of cheddar cheese and remaining 6 slices of french toast.
  4. Spread apple pie filling over top, sprinkle with the granola.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Continue baking about 5-8 minutes.
  6. Serve with sour cream mixture.
