When we lived aboard our boat life was pretty laid back and I fixed this often as brunch. Very easy and delicious.

  • 8 slice
    bread, remove crust and butter
  • 1/2 lb
    ham, ready to eat, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 4 large
  • 8 oz
    medium cheddar cheese, shredded

How to Make Breakfast Ham Bake


  1. Beat eggs and milk; add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  2. In a 9x9 baking dish place 4 of the buttered bread slices(butter both sides of bread). Top bread with 1/2 the ham and 1/2 the cheese. Repeat layers, bread, ham and ending with cheese. Now pour egg mixture over top. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. When baked let set 15 minutes before serving.
