Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 2 slices white bread
- 2 cups milk
- 1 pound sausage, browned
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar, mild or sharp
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
How To Make breakfast casserole (pennsylvania dutch "cowboy")

Step 1Beat eggs. Add milk, salt and mustard, mixing well.

Step 2Grease bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish.

Step 3Layer bread cubes, then sausage, then cheese. Pour egg mixture over the top.

Step 4Refrigerate overnight.

Step 5Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.

Step 6Let stand about 5 minutes before cutting.

Step 7NOTE: For 8 people use 3 slices of bread and 8 eggs.
