Ingredients

  • 1 - 26oz bags frozen hash browns
  • 12 - eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon ground mustard
  • 1 - 16oz packages sausage
  • 1 - 16oz packages shredded cheddar cheese your choice
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make breakfast casserole in the crock-pot (slow cooker)

  • Step 1
    Spray crock pot with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    Evenly spread hash browns at the bottom.
  • Step 3
    Crack 12 eggs in a large bowl.
  • Step 4
    Mix well (and slowly) using a whisk.
  • Step 5
    Add the milk and gound mustard.
  • Step 6
    Add plenty of salt and lots of pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  • Step 7
    Cook the sausage on high heat, drain and set aside.
  • Step 8
    Layer sausage on top of hash browns.
  • Step 9
    Layer entire bag of cheese on top of the sausage.
  • Step 10
    Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything in the crock pot.
  • Step 11
    Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Step 12
    NOTE: Some fun variations of this recipe you can add: chunks of sourdough bread diced chiles salsa onions...
