Easy brunch casserole

Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread, no crust
  • 1 pound bulk sausage
  • 1/2 package shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash pepper

How To Make breakfast casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Partially cook sausage in a skillet, remove and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Put potatoes in the same skillet and cook.
  • Step 4
    Butter a 9x13 pan and line with bread, spread sausage over bread, layer with potatoes, cover with shredded cheese.
  • Step 5
    In a separate bowl, beat eggs, half & half, salt, pepper and dry mustard. Pour in pan over bread/sausage/potatoe mixture.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 45-60 minutes until eggs are done. Check center of casserole to make sure eggs are not runny.
