  • 6 slice
    white bread, no crust
  • 1 lb
    bulk sausage
  • 1/2 pkg
    shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • 2 c
    half and half
  • 6
  • 1 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
  • dash(es)

How to Make Breakfast Casserole


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Partially cook sausage in a skillet, remove and set aside.
  3. Put potatoes in the same skillet and cook.
  4. Butter a 9x13 pan and line with bread, spread sausage over bread, layer with potatoes, cover with shredded cheese.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, half & half, salt, pepper and dry mustard. Pour in pan over bread/sausage/potatoe mixture.
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes until eggs are done. Check center of casserole to make sure eggs are not runny.
