Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey sausage
  • 4 tablespoons chopped green onion
  • 6 cups french bread, cubed
  • 2 cups mild cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 2/3 cups skim milk
  • 1/4 cup frozen egg subsitute, thawed or 5 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

How To Make breakfast casserole

  • Step 1
    This recipe can be prepared the night before in the removable crock-pot, refrigerated and then turned on in the morning for an excellent tasty brunch.
  • Step 2
    In a skillet brown turkey sausage and green onions in vegetable oil.
  • Step 3
    Drain meat.
  • Step 4
    Coat crock-pot with cooking spray and place bread cubes in bottom.
  • Step 5
    Layer sausage mixture and cheese over bread.
  • Step 6
    Combine milk, egg substitute, prepared mustard and pepper.
  • Step 7
    Pour over sausage and cheese.
  • Step 8
    Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours.
