The first time i saw this recipe i thought it would be a soggy mess. It's not it bakes bakes nice and fluffy and is really good.

  • 4 c
    cubed bread
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 10
  • 4 c
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 lb
    jimmy dean sausage

How to Make Breakfast Casserole


  1. cook and crumble sausage
  2. in a bowl beat eggs , then add milk,dry mustard, salt pepper, and garlic powder
  3. place 1/2 of the cubbed bread in a greased 9x12 baking dish..then pour 1/2 the egg mixture , then all the sasusage and 1/2 the cheese. Place remaining bread atop of that and remaining egg mixture. Top with the rest of the cheese.
  4. Cover and Refrigerate overnight
  5. Bake in the morning at 325 for 50-60 min
