i made this the first time in my college days still make it today

1/2 lb
bulk pork sausage
1/2 lb
frozen hash browns
1/2 small
red bell pepper
1/2 small
yellow onion
4 oz
fresh mushrooms.. sliced
1 tsp
chopped celery leaves
6 large
2 Tbsp
1 c
sharp cheddar cheese... divided
salt and paper... to taste
1-2 dash(es)
this is the secert item]... liquid smoke

How to Make breakfast casarole


  • 1in lg fry pan cook sausage til no longer pink,drain well, add onion,bell pepper cook til onion limp,add celery leaves and mushrooms cook and stir 5-8 min than add hash brownies stir well
  • 2meanwhile break eggs into med size bowl with wire wisk whip eggs til frothy add milk,cheese, salt and pepper..set aside
  • 3spray a 9x13 ovenware pan with non stick spray..add sausage to pan... just before adding to meat add a couple dashes liquid smoke in eggs whisk well to blend......pour over meat
  • 4bake in 350 preheated oven til set...35-45 min
