This recipe is one of those that is good anytime, not just for breakfast. However, my grandchildren love this recipe. It freezes well in individual servings also. I don't drink coffee, but it is just wonderful with a diet coke in the morning!

Ingredients
- 2 packages crescent rolls
- 1 pound pork sausage
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons butter, plus butter to grease baking dish
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make breakfast bars

Step 1Generously grease the 9X13" Pyrex dish with butter. Place 1 package Crescent rolls in bottom of dish. Pinch seams together and spread out to cover the entire dish.

Step 2Brown sausage with onions until meat in no longer pink and onions are clear. Drain.

Step 3Combine sausage mixture and cream cheese well. Spread on crescent rolls in the baking dish.

Step 4Cover sausage mixture with grated cheese.

Step 5Top with second package of crescent rolls. Cover completely. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 min. Let set a few minutes before cutting into bars. Lightly butter top of crescent rolls while hot.
